The service is quite small, we feel creating a more personal atmosphere while giving the children greater ownership over their environment is important.
When you enter you realise this space belongs to the children. Each area is purposely developed to consider playing, learning, free choice, creativity and safety. We are the proud owners of an An Taisce Green Flag. Our aim is to foster a respect for all. Parents and members of the local community regularly come to visit our service and talk to the children about their hobbies or work.
Outdoors
We place huge emphasis on the garden. Children love to be outside exploring. Our garden is divided into 3 sections;
The Patio
The Patio provides an outdoor space under cover offering opportunity to organise activities outside on wet days, Creative art, Messy play and sand are a regular feature.
The Astro Turf Playground
The Astro Turf Playground is a safe all weather environment for free play and organised games. We try to get our boys and girls out every day wrapping up well during cold spells. Ride on’s and football are popular activities here.
Discovery Garden
The discovery Garden is a little woodland area down the back which allows children to be closer to nature with lots of smaller trees for climbing, bird table and an insect village. The children love to creep around the trees and play hide and seek or hang out in the fort and wigwam.
